SHIMLA MIRCH KHEEMA

Ingredients

Minced meat- 500 gm Onion- 2 medium sized (finely sliced) Bell Peppers- 3-4 ( finely chopped) Oil - 1/2 cup Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp Chili powder -1tbsp turmeric -1/2 tsp Garam masala powder - 1tbsp Cumin powder - 1tbsp Salt as per taste coriander leaves - 3-4tbsp Fistful of fresh mint Green chilies – 4-5 Fistful of fresh mint Green chilies – 4-5 Method Finely cut the bell peppers (Shimla mirch) and keep aside. Finely cut the onion and keep aside. Now heat oil in a deep bottom pan on medium heat and fry bell peppers for 2-3 minutes remove and keep aside. In the same pan add sliced onion and fry till it starts changing color add ginger garlic paste mix and cook for a minute, add turmeric chili powder cumin powder and garam masala powder mix it properly with onion and cook for a while until the rawness of all masalas disappears. Now add minced mutton mix it well cover and cook it for few minutes. Now add salt mix cover and cook till the minced mutton (kheema) the moisture of the meat is completely dried. Now add ½ cup water mix cover and cook till there is little amount of water left. At this stage add the fried bell peppers mix with the mutton cover and till the water dries completely. Now add fresh coriander mix and cook for a while. Kheema Shimla mirch/ minced mutton and bell peppers is ready. Serve hot with roti or plain rice, zeera rice dal tadka.
