Lauki halwa/Doodhi halwa is a Indian dessert made with bottle gourd or , milk, ghee, sugar khoya/mawa and flavored with cardamom and nuts. This recipe is very easy to prepare with very few ingredients in very less time.

INGREDIENTS Lauki-1 1/2 cup(grated)

Mixed Dry-Fruits-2tbsp

Khoya/Mawa1 Cup


Milk 1&1/2 Cup

Green Cardamom- Powder-1/4th tsp

Desi Ghee-1/2 Cup

2-3 drops of green color

METHOD Heat a Pan to it add 2tbsp ghee and fry 2tbsp of mixed dry fruits, remove and keep aside, Heat Another pan add 3tbsp of ghee and add grated lauki and fry for 2-3 minutes, now add milk and 3tbsp of khoya mix and cook till the lauki is softened and dry, at this stage add sugar, 1/4th tsp cardamom powder, green color and remaining khoya cover and cook for few minutes until it is semi-dry, now add the remaining ghee mix and cook till it is completely dry and leaves ghee, Off the flame. :Your lauki ka halwa is ready. Serve hot garnished with fried mixed dry fruits.
