BUTTER CHICKEN

Ingredients For Marination :


Chicken -1kg

Ginger garlic- paste -1tbsp

Turmeric -1tsp

Chili Powder -1tbsp

Salt to taste


Ingredients for gravy:


Onion -2 medium- sized

Tomato -5-6

ginger garlic- paste -1tsp

1tsp - turmeric

1tbsp- chili powder

whole garam masala (2-star anise,1 small- stick cinnamon, 2 cardamom)

Oil and

100 gm of Butter

salt to taste

1tbsp Kasuri-methi

50 gm- cashew nuts

Fresh cream


METHOD:


Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients mentioned for maritation

and keep aside and marinate for at least 2 hours, heat a pan add

2tbsp of oil and half of the butter, add marinated chicken mix and fry

till soft, once the chicken is cooked take it out from the pan and keep it

aside in the same pan add 2tbsp of oil and remaining butter, now add

roughly sliced onion, add whole garam masala, ginger-garlic paste,

turmeric, kashmiri red chili powder, mix and cook add tomatoes mix and

cook add salt and mix add 50 gm cashew mix and cook until the

tomatoes are cooked well, take it out from the flame and grind it to a

fine paste, now strain it with the help of a strainer to remove all the seeds

and skin of the tomatoes, cook the gravy for few mins. at this stage add the

fried chicken and mix well, now add 1tbsp of kasturi methi and 2-3tbsp of

fresh cream mix properly, check for salt and add if needed mix and cook

for few mins. Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish it with fresh cream,

Serve it with plain naan, or butter naan, tandoori roti, or rumali roti.
